Taylor & Forum Members--

So sorry to learn of Barry's passing! This writer, over the years, crossed paths with him directly (in person) and indirectly.

Re the former: If memory serves, his was the opening act the night we saw Warren Zevon perform at the Mechanics Hall, in Worcester, MA, in the mid-'80s, and we saw him perform at standup comedy venues in the Boston/Cambridge area during that period.

Re the latter: Somewhere deep in my email files are a few off-list emails from Barry; and am aware he was a longtime friend/correspondent with other Forum members.

As a fellow student of the human condition, this writer very much appreciates the work that he did, through the use of satire and casting a jaundiced eye on politics and on society as a whole.
