MEASURE Evaluation, a USAID-funded project, announces its first regional
workshop on Geographic Information
Systems<http://www.cpc.unc.edu/measure/our-work/gis>(GIS), titled,
"GIS
Applications in Public Health <http://goo.gl/SVr6z>,” for English speaking
professionals. The workshop is sponsored by the Public Health Foundation of
India (PHFI), New Delhi, India in collaboration with MEASURE Evaluation.
The course includes modules on M&E frameworks, data systems and indicators,
surveys used in PHN programs, evaluation designs, building performance
monitoring and evaluation plans, utilization and feedback of M&E results,
data demand and use, GIS, gender and the M&E of health programs.
Workshop attendees will gain hands-on experience in designing monitoring and
evaluation plans by doing exercises, and working in small groups throughout
the workshop.
A limited number of MEASURE Evaluation fellowships are available to
qualified candidates from USAID-assisted countries.
Applications must be submitted to PHFI by *August 19, 2011*.
