"And so Missouri has fallen, that great state!"  SLC

For those lamenting the demise of the University of Missouri Press and the decision of the Curators to cede the field of Twain studies to the University of California, here are three opportunities to, as another son of Missouri would put it, "Give 'em hell."  Conceding the fact that readership has diminished in these digital days, it costs nothing to send your opinions to the following:

Columbia Daily Tribune-             [log in to unmask]

Kansas City Star                      [log in to unmask]

St. Louis Post-Dispatch            stltoday.com

Who knows, if some of you conspicuous outsiders, in your diplomatic manner, tell us Missourians how
short-sighted we are, maybe the message will get to a curator or two, and the University of Missouri Press will be conscripted as an adjunct to the Tigers' football team.
