Hello Everyone,

Please find the replay of North End Matters at the link below.

The guests included Glenn Knockwood of the Kiptu Youth Program in the  
North End and Megan Leslie, MP. The guests discussed the defunding of  
the Kiptu Program and the significance of that program for not just  
Aboriginal youth, but youth of diverse cultures.

The program offered an important perspective on the social  
determinants of health and examined how the program played an  
important role in giving  youth a sense of belonging, a sense of  
community, cultural knowledge and mentors, all of which impact health,  
mental health and well-being. The Kiptu Program provided a kind of  
buffer by supporting youth who face challenges around income  
insecurity, poverty, incarceration, insecure housing and lack of  
access to transportation.
