I'm very happy to learn that one of the elder statesmen, David Letterman, won the MT Prize for American Humor this year.  As opposed to someone half his age, that is.  Show will air on Nov. 20, from what I gather, on PBS.


Now the annual debate can begin: who is "worthy" to be linked with Twain.  IMHO, this is truly well-deserved, & a lifetime award, at least this year.
