The Canadian Society for International Health appoints new Interim
Executive Director for 2007.

January 8th, 2007

The current Executive Director for the Canadian Society for
International Health, Janet Hatcher Roberts, departs this week to
begin her new position as the Director of Health Migration at the
International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva,
Switzerland.

The Board of Director’s for the Canadian Society for International
Health has granted Ms. Hatcher Roberts a one-year leave of absence to
accept this position, effective immediately. Janet has been the
Executive Director of CSIH since 1997.

Acting in her stead for 2007 will be Ms. Martha B. Stone. Martha is a
Senior Partner at MOENSTON Associates in Ottawa.  Previously, Ms.
Stone was Director General, Information Sciences and Systems Division
at IDRC in Ottawa.  Ms. Stone has previously consulted with CSIH on
various committees and project advisory boards.

Ms. Stone begins her term at the Canadian Society for International
Health on January 8th, 2007.
