We have recently completed a mother's day campaign to promote cancer awareness and screening. We did not hold a workshop for service providers but did utilize salons in our region to assist with getting the information out to clients. Although the final evaluation is not yet complete, we have heard from many of the salons that it is an ideal location to target women who tend to be the health information seekers for families and often have time to have discussions about women's issues (or otherwise) while at the salon.

Hello Everyone,
Myself and a colleague are currently developing a service provider workshop on the myths of artificial tanning as well as Health Canada's guidelines regarding artificial tanning. Rather than inviting the artificial tanning service providers to this workshop, we aim to invite alternate service providers who cater to teens at risk of artificial tanning. These include hairdressers, gyms, spas, dressmakers/clothing stores, etc.
As this is our first attempt at such a workshop, we are wondering if anyone has done or thought about doing something similar and if they have any advice/suggestions to share.
