The Performance-Based Incentives for Public Health Supply Chains: Training Toolkit introduces the basics of performance-based incentive (PBI) schemes for the public health supply chain. It includes everything instructors need to conduct a training workshop, from a training PowerPoint and facilitator notes to a sample agenda and PBI flash cards.

PBI can be defined as the awarding of cash or non-monetary benefits for achieving measurable goals or for a defined performance objective. Developing countries are increasingly using PBI to improve public health services. By linking performance to rewards, PBI may also strengthen public health supply chains. The toolkit also has accompanying Word templates.
