The Quaich Inc. is pleased to announce April 2014 dates in Vancouver and Ottawa for our Facilitator
Training Workshop, "The Art of Opening the Conversation: Finding Common Ground to Improve
Health & Social Inequities".

The workshop appeals to those working to promote community and population health, and health
equity. It is open to anyone interested in facilitating others in community development, health
promotion, and educational experiences.

Interested in increasing your confidence facilitating critical moments & varied perspectives in group
settings? Participants will learn, reflect on, and apply transformative skills to issues that are relevant
to their community and workplace.

Schedule: Day 1 focuses on facilitation fundamentals within community groups and organizations
from different sectors, exploring holistic health, health and social equity, intersectoral collaboration
and cross-cultural knowledge exchange. Day 2 focuses on using the Circle of Health to engage
people with different learning styles in knowledge exchange, planning and partnership development.

The workshop is led by Julie Devon Dodd and Patsy Beattie-Huggan, two experienced facilitators who
were instrumental in the creation of the Circle of Health, and use it frequently in their work.
