Binding minimum wage increase referenda passed in four Republican  
states: Alaska, Arkansas, Nebraska and South Dakota. This was one  
bright spot in an otherwise dismal (for health equity) U.S. midterm  
election.

Just goes to show you that there is public support for progressive  
SDH-focused policies, even in 'red' states.
