Throughout this past week, I planned to be first to post a Mark Twain
birthday message today. Now I see someone else has beaten me to it. Well,
it's good to know that this anniversary has not gone unnoticed.
Incidentally, the sesquicentennial of the "birth of "Mark Twain" would make
a great theme--or subtheme--for this year's Elmira conference.
