I love these colorized photos, too!! They are most tastefully done, and really do what photos should do: put you into a world of the past that you can identify with as vividly real, and not quaintly archaic. It also demolishes Calvin's dad's heretofore convincing argument that color did not appear in the world until "sometime in the [19]30s" : http://imgur.com/r/calvinandhobbes/4rPGp (my all time favorite cartoon strip).
