UPDATE

THE CLEMENS CONFERENCE
HANNIBAL, MISSOURI
July 23-25, 2015

Plans are being finalized for The Clemens Conference in Hannibal this July.

Here are quick announcements of some features of the conference: Keynote Speaker: Dr. Bruce Michelson will share thoughts from his work on an upcoming book Mark Twain Past & Present.

Keynote Speaker: Susan Bailey will share details of her multi-year research that leads to the conclusion she is Nina Clemens Gabrilowitsch’s daughter and hence Mark Twain’s great-granddaughter.

Highlights from the Mark Twain-Rev. Joseph Twitchell correspondence will be shared by Hal Bush who is underway on a book detailing this important friendship.

Included in the workshop will be field trips to tour Mark Twain Cave, visit the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum, ride the Mark Twain Riverboat, and travel by bus to Florida Missouri and the Mark Twain Birthplace and the Quarles Farm reconstruction.

A good variety of papers will be presented. There is still time to submit a proposal for a paper. The deadline is February 15, however contact us if this needs negotiation. Send paper proposals to [log in to unmask] and contact me with any questions on papers or the conference.

The Clemens Conference should be a wonderful experience.
