We hope you have managed to enjoy some rest and relaxation over the summer
months and are feeling recharged and energised. Here at TPP we have been
planning for an exciting Autumn, with lots of new titles coming out across
our range of subject areas. I have highlighted our new titles for September

below. As always, full details are available on our website -
www.policypress.org.uk. And while you are there, why not take advantage of
our extended half price sale available on selected titles? Hurry... it
can't last forever!

NEW TITLES FOR SEPTEMBER
***********************
Liberty, equality, fraternity
Paul Spicker
Paul Spicker's new book takes the three founding principles of the French
Revolution - Liberty, Equality, Fraternity - and examines how they relate
to social policy today. The book considers the political and moral
dimensions of a wide range of social policies, and offers a different way
of thinking about each subject from the way it is usually analysed. Sample
chapters can be read in our website reading room -
https://www.policypress.org.uk/general/reading_room.php.

Modernising health care: Reinventing professions, the state and the public
Ellen Kuhlmann
A crucial contribution to debates about the rapid modernisation of health
care systems and the dynamics of changing modes of governance and
citizenship. Sample chapters can be read in our website reading room -
https://www.policypress.org.uk/general/reading_room.php.

Cash and care: Policy challenges in the welfare state
Edited by Caroline Glendinning and Peter A. Kemp
Recent social trends and policy developments have called into question the
divide between the provision of income support ('cash') and social care
services ('care'). This book addresses these themes in the light of key
trends.

********************* BOOK LAUNCH *********************
There will be a book launch for Cash and Care in London on Monday 25
September following a special seminar looking at new directions in policy
and practice. Please see http://www.york.ac.uk/inst/spru/ccprog.html for
