Dear SDOH members,
Does anyone know where one might be able to find statistics on cosmetic
procedures performed in Canada? I am advising a sociology honors
student interested in studying cosmetic procedures and its implications
for well-being in Canadian men and women.
While the study will be qualitative, she is having a hard time finding
some general statistics on cosmetic procedures by demographic and
socioeconomic groups? Is there a report out there somewhere on this?
By cosmetic procedures, I mean the entire spectrum, including
non-surgical (e.g., botox) and surgical (e.g., nose jobs, face lifts,
breast augmentation/reduction).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Rich Carpiano
