The UK has built over 70 P3 (Public-Private-Partnership) hospitals. There
are 15 or more P3 hospitals planned for across Canada.
Leading world expert on Public-Private-Partnership (P3) hospitals, Dr.
Pollock has written a series of important articles in the British Medical
Association Journal about the impact of P3s on Britain's health system. In
Britain, Dr. Pollock has studied 69 P3 hospitals. Allyson is the head of
the Health Services and Health Policy Research Unit at the School of
Public Policy, University College London, and Director of Research and
Development at University College London Hospitals Trust.
Join Allyson Pollock, and Natalie Mehra, provincial coordinator of the
Ontario Health Coalition, for a presentation and discussion about
Allyson's extensive research on P3s, and the Ontario government's plans
for massive private (P3) hospital deals and their impacts on democracy,
public accountability, the deficit, and the scope of services covered
