Hi Philip
This may be what you are thinking of:
GLOBAL PRICES AND PURCHASING POWER: The Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS AG)
has recently published its triennial survey of wages, prices and purchasing
power in 71 cities around the world. The most expensive cities surveyed were
Oslo, London, Copenhagen and Zurich - Toronto ranked 16th and Montreal 18th.
In terms of greatest purchasing power, Zurich, Geneva, Dublin and Los
Angeles ranked highest - Toronto was 16th and Montreal 18th. The survey also
concludes that Asian workers, in an effort to compensate for lower
purchasing power, work almost 50 days more per year than Western Europeans.

Subject: [SDOH] Relative value and costs
from Philip Dawson
Dear All,
Sometime ago I think someone published the relative costs of cigarettes,
Alcohol and food against the price of a Macdonald's regular quarter
pounder meal in the same Country.
Does anyone know where I could access this information.
I am keen to compare the cost of say cigarettes, food , alcohol and income
in developed and developing countries. I suppose it relates to disposable
income but I am not sure.
Please could you let me know of any sites you think relevant
Thanks
Philip
