Dear women's health friends and colleagues,

Please join us at the landmark national conference,
CANCER: It's About Prevention. It's About Time!
at the University of Ottawa, May 24-27, 2007.

Over half of all cancers are preventable. Prevent Cancer Now and the
Saunders-Matthey Cancer Prevention Coalition are co-sponsoring this
national conference in Ottawa to develop practical plans for action to
stop the cancer epidemic in Canada.

This conference has three main goals:
. To foster a Canada-wide movement for cancer prevention, emphasizing
strategies to eliminate 'environmental' causes of cancer, including
hazards in our homes, schools, workplaces, personal products - and diet.

. To raise national awareness about the need for the primary prevention
of cancer - stopping cancer before it starts.

. To provide tools and strategies to assist local groups with public
education & action campaigns.

The conference will also include outstanding keynote speakers, regional
organizing, 18 participatory workshops, plus the launch of "Cancer: 101
Solutions to a Preventable Epidemic" (New Society Publishers). .

Full conference registration is $250 ($300 after April 22) with day
rates available; accommodation at University of Ottawa is $33 to $55 per
person per night (available to those who register before April 22).
