We invite you to attend this year's session of the Study Group on
Access at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association
in Washington DC, sponsored by the Committee on Health Services Research
of the Medical Care Section. The theme for this year's session is
access prescription drugs. Access to pharmaceuticals is an essential
component of health care access. Pharmaceutical access is problematic
not only for the uninsured and Medicare beneficiaries, but for many
individuals with private health insurance coverage due to high costs and
variable benefits. Presenters will focus on measurement and methodologic
issues in studying this problem using examples from current research for
illustration.
