The 6th Global Forum on Health Promotion has just launched its Intermediary Agenda,
outlining participating speakers, panelists and workshop sessions during the two day,
international event that takes place in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada on
October 16-17, 2016.
Highlights include a keynote speech Zsuzsanne Jakab, Regional Director of the World
Health Organization’s European division, speaking on the legacy of the Ottawa Charter
reflected in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A roundtable on
governance for health brings together representatives from health organizations from
Canada, Africa, Sweden and Denmark. A panel on the new leadership of health promotion
focuses on the next generation of health promotion work, essential in achieving the SDGs
by its target date of 2030.
