Description:
Dementia Friends Canada is a digitally-based national public engagement initiative that targets corporations, associations, and communities, engaging large audiences in early learning about dementia and encouraging them to join the online community of Dementia Friends to learn more or share their own personal stories on a regular basis.
Rooted in the program is a comprehensive evaluation framework which will measure the change in attitudes and understanding of dementia (signs and symptoms), attitudes and understanding for people living with dementia, and knowledge and understanding of how to act/what to do in order to support those currently living with dementia.
Join us as we share how Dementia Friends Canada uses an integrated approach that combines traditional social media (Twitter, Facebook) with various other channels, including relevant influential blogs, in order to improve awareness and understanding about dementia.
