Webinar: Preparing for your Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA)

Wed, July 27, 12:00 - 12:30pm (EST):

The Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA) Community of Interest and Health Nexus present:

Preparing for your HEIA: Putting the horse before your cart<https://www.porticonetwork.ca/web/heia/webinars>

Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA) is a simple tool to help to identify and reduce health inequities in programs, services, policies and initiatives. Join Andrea Bodkin from Health Nexus to explore how to plan and prepare for your HEIA to increase your chances of a successful assessment and facilitate the identification of mitigation strategies. Two new Tip Sheets, based on a series of key informant interviews conducted with HEIA practitioners, will be launched at the webinar. At the end of this brief presentation, participants will:

• Be able to identify if their program/initiative is a good candidate for HEIA

• Be familiar with critical steps in planning HEIA for a successful outcome

The 15 minute presentation will be followed by a 15 minute Q & A session.
