Dear colleagues,
We are working on an evaluation of a mental health promotion initiative in BC.
One of the areas we are assessing is the degree to our stakeholders (mostly health care providers) have participated in the project and in the development of this mental health promotion capacity building tool.
Interested to know if anyone has found a useful definition of "participation" that we can use as the basis of how we are conceptualizing this evaluation domain.
I have done some preliminary searches but have not come up with a relevant concept in the HP evaluation literature, as participation comes up mostly in terms of participatory research and evaluation methodology.
We are not conducting participatory research but rather enquiring as to how participation has impacted the development of the project/tool.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,

Paola
