Series with Dr. Kwame McKenzie,  SAMI CIHR Training Program Director. His
webinar will introduce the importance of understanding mental health

On *Oct 8, 2013*, Dr. Ben C.H. Kuo, Associate Professor in the Department
of Psychology at the University of Windsor will present “*Developing
Multicultural Competencies for Counselling, Psychotherapy and Clinical
Practices: An Introduction*”. This webinar will introduce the audience to
the field of Multicultural Counselling and training (MCT), illustrate with
examples culturally responsive/competent clinical and therapy practices,
and offer recommendations for ways practitioners can further their

On *Oct 22, 2013*, Ms. Deborah Headley, Principle Associate of Network for
Therapeutic Alliances, will present “*Cross Cultural Counselling:
Competencies and Practice*”. In addition to its attention to the barriers
that clients face, Cross Cultural Counselling focuses on the dimensions of
diversity, social identity, power and privilege, intersectionality and
inclusive practices as integral to all aspects of clinical practice with
