Health promotion with adolescents: HIV/AIDS and risk perception
Lisa Renkin, Australia
****************************

Greetings from Sydney, Australia.
My health promotion experience has primarily been with HIV/AIDS prevention
and general adolescent reproductive health programs. I've been involved with
peer education as a strategy for some time now, and would like to focus on
risk perception/construction as an area of research. I'm wondering if anyone
has come across particular references to cultural construction of risk that
could assist?
I have found Peter Aggleton's work useful, as I'm particularly interested in
the construction of risk and behaviour in circumstances where there's many
competing risk factors.
Please feel free to respond to me via email ([log in to unmask]) or to this
forum if you feel others would benefit from your ideas as well.
Thanks in anticipation!

Regards,
