Many of us in Australia are currently gripped by dismay by the way refugees
are being handled by our Federal Govt. I work in a local community which is
made up of many recently arrived refugees on which this treatment of the
detainees is having a profoundly distressing and fragmenting effect. I am
casting out feelers to see if anyone has tackled similar issues
(particularly looking at health as well as human rights), and to seek ways
to step up awareness and support for the rally-detils of which are being
circulated by the Australian Health Promotion Association (Vic).
