Subject: [CLICK4HP] Integrating Gender Strategies for Most-at-Risk Populations in Concentrated HIV Epidemics

Programs focused on promoting gender equity and combating detrimental gender norms play a key role in HIV prevention. However, integrating gender strategies into programs targeting most-at-risk populations (MARPs) poses unique challenges. AIDSTAR-One has recently released the first four of nine case studies examining gender integration into programing for MARPs in concentrated epidemic settings in South and Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. These four case studies describe how programs in India, Lebanon, Cambodia, and Indonesia have addressed different gender-related issues, including gender-based violence and harmful gender norms.
