Research News/ a Review
We published an excellent topical research article here about the uses of reader's theatre
in aging and health. Dr. Maura McIntyre, Centre for Arts Informed Research, Department
of Adult Education, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, shares in the article
"Home is Where the Heart Is" how, as a researcher, she has used Reader's Theatre,
in a participative way with staff to raise awareness about staff working in nursing
homes and what the staff can teach us about the places and people who work in nursing homes.
You'll also find a profound, poetic and deeply moving account, "My Mother's Body, A Story of
Grieving, Remembering and Touch", as Dr. John J. Guiney Yallop shares his autoethnographic
writings.

Name Change for CCAHTE Journal to Reflect International Status, Interdisciplinary Content
The Canadian Creative Arts in Health, Training and Education Journal (CCAHTE) will be changing
its name over the next several weeks. CCAHTE, launched in March 2006 , as The Canadian Creative
Arts in Health, Training and Education Journal, is recognized as the international journal
of the creative arts in interdisciplinary practice in the field. In recent consultations with the Advisory Board
the general consensus is that the successful journal should reflect its international scope and uniquely interdisciplinary
content in the new journal title. The journal will continue to feature progressive articles about the creative arts in research
and practice in health, education and across disciplines.
Our new journal title will be:
The International Journal of The Creative Arts in Interdisciplinary Practice IJCAIP
