Coming to CPHA conference in Ottawa? Don't miss this vital workshop June 10th on 'kicking alive a national health promotion body'.
at the Canadian Public Health Association Conference, Ottawa Convention Centre  14:00-15:30 EDT in Room 208

The 2013 "Health Promotion in Canada - Alive and Kicking" workshop offers an overview of past and current programs, policies, promising and innovative practices, and acts as the base for future collaboration.

Results from a 2012 SWOT analysis will be shared, plus two HP frameworks - Women's PHI and Pan Canadian HP Life-Course. Using a visioning exercise, participants will explore a common vision, a future directions, and choose actions to revitalize health promotion across Canada.



The not-so-modest goal for the workshop is to determine the intersectoral and interdisciplinary Pan-Canadian mechanisms that can strengthen health promotion capacity nationally, and nurture a new generation of health promotion professionals. All participants will come away with ideas, materials and options for health promotion in Canada.
