That's a wonderful tribute to Mr Holbrook, and those are great photos.
Anyone who has met him after a performance, or at either of the Twain
Conferences he's attended, or at any other time will second your notions.
One correction, and one that worth some serious contemplation... Sam
Clemens was Mark Twain for less than 50 years (1863-1910) and Hal Holbrook
has been Mark Twain for more than 60 years (1954-2014). In fact he was Mark
Twain on stage some years before 1954, so it might be more like 65 years.
I pity all those people who lived between 1910 and 1954 and never got to see
Mark Twain live on stage.
