Oops! I misspoke. The magazine in question is, of course, Mother Earth,
not Mother Jones.

Subject: MT and anarchism
Does anyone know if Twain ever met or corresponded with Emma Goldman? Did
he read Mother Jones, which I believe was cofounded by Goldman in 1906?
I know MT was heavy into anti-imperialism during his last decade and had
some connection or familiarity with Gorky, but I wonder if he had anything
to do with the nascent anarchist movement here.
