Presentation by: Dr. John Raeburn
So much of the suffering we see in society today can be attributed in part
to a ‘spiritual crisis' in terms of human values - a crisis that is not
helped by the increasing irrelevance of organized religion in many people's
lives. It is crucial that spirituality be on the mental health promotion
agenda.
This workshop is designed for people working in mental health promotion,
health promotion, community development and similar fields. The first part
of the workshop will examine ‘generic' or universal concepts of spirituality
with the goal of finding a consensual view of spirituality that all
participants can find acceptable. During the second part of the workshop
participants will explore the application of such concepts at work and other
areas.
