Breastfeeding Peer Support Training: A Train-the-Trainer Workshop

This workshop will be offered in five different locations.

The cost of the full workshop is $50.00 and includes lunch on both days and refreshments during breaks as well as a copy of the peer support training toolkit. Audience:
This workshop is for potential facilitators who are planning or are responsible for existing breastfeeding peer support and wish to train their own peers.

Description:
This workshop will be presented over one and a half days to introduce participants to the Breastfeeding Peer Support Training Toolkit. Participants will acquire the knowledge and practice skills to take the toolkit back to their organizations and train breastfeeding peer support volunteers in their communities. Each participant will receive a Breastfeeding Peer Support Training Toolkit which will include module outlines and content, teaching activities, slides and speaker notes, evaluation templates and other forms and templates to support the development of a breastfeeding peer support program and the crucial component of training peers-to-be.
