Canadian Best Practices Portal Training

See the description below for another exciting pre-Institute activity to be
held Tuesday, August 17th, 2010!

The Public Health Agency of Canada's Canadian Best Practices Portal (CBPP)
is a virtual front door to community and population health interventions
related to chronic disease prevention and health promotion. These
interventions have been evaluated, shown to be successful, and have the
potential to be adapted and replicated by practitioners working in similar
fields. The Portal is intended to enhance public health decisions using the
best available evidence. This orientation will provide participants with a
general overview to the Portal ( <http://cbpp-pcpe.phac-aspc.gc.ca/>
http://cbpp-pcpe.phac-aspc.gc.ca), including its development, format and
content. The presentation will also review how interventions and resources
are selected for the Portal and how to nominate your own "best" practices.  

The ASI "Portal training" will be held from 2 to 4 the afternoon of August
17th. Space is limited.

Le Portail canadien des pratiques exemplaires 

Veuillez voir la description ci-dessous pour une autre activité préalable à
l'Institut, le mardi 17 août 2010!

Le Portail canadien des pratiques exemplaires de l'Agence de la santé
publique du Canada est une porte d'entrée virtuelle aux interventions
communautaires qui se concentrent sur la prévention des maladies chroniques
et sur la promotion de la santé.  Ces interventions sont bien évaluées,
efficaces et peuvent être adaptées par des praticiens oeuvrant dans un
milieu semblable.  Le Portail vise à améliorer la prise de décisions
touchant les programmes de santé publique à l'aide de données probantes.
Cette orientation offrira aux participants un survol du Portail (

compris son développement, son organisation et son contenu.  La présentation
traitera aussi du processus de recommendation et de sélection des
interventions et ressources qui se trouvent sur le Portail.  

La formation sur le «Portail» aura lieu entre 14h et 16h l'après-midi du 17
août. L'espace est limité.
