The workplace health initiatives you mentioned from Queensland Health were
discontinued in 1997 when there was a change of government.  When the
program was running between 95-97 it was relatively well resourced however
my knowledge of the program is limited because it finished just as I
started working for QH.  There are still a few people around who worked on
this program and up until about a year ago there were still quite a few
copies of the resources they produced stored at Brisbane North Public
Health Unit. Jeff Allen ([log in to unmask]) was the principle
project worker on the program and he would be able to point you towards any
reports written.  The academic most involved was A/Prof Cordia Chu from
Griffith University (Brisbane) and I think she has written a chapter in a
book (she also edited the book with Rod Simpson)which I have seen is
available on the web - full text version.

In Victoria (Aust), VicHealth runs a workplace health seminar series and
invites private companies to join their workplace partnership program.  The
seminar series is well regarded and I'm sure would be providing information
targeted at small business. Have a look at their website for more info  -

Hello there!  I am working on a lit review of health promotion in
workplaces.  I am especially interested in models that have been developed
for small businesses.  I have the Health Canada model and wondered what
else
people may be familiar with.  In a 1997 Australian and New Zealand Journal
of Public Health article it mentions that "Queensland Health commenced a
pilot program in small businesses in 1995".  Any information about this
specific pilot program and other actvities would be appreciated!  Thanks.
