The federal report Managing for Results contains a chapter about societal
indicators (see below) but also has performance indicators related to health
promotion and healthy communities under Annex 1 - performance information
maps.

Societal indicators
Introduction
Managing for Results 2000 was tabled in Parliament by the President of the
Treasury Board of Canada on February 1, 2001. Chapter 4 of this report
includes a discussion of the role of societal indicators as context. In
response to requests from parliametarians, it also presents trend
information on an experimental basis for these indicators.
