POSITION:
Health Educator

LOCATION:
Student Health Center
Lehman College – City University of New York
Bronx, NY

SALARY:
$23,000 - $26,000 (9 month position) + benefits

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience
in health education, health promotion, public health or related field.
Experience with health education, prevention, or outreach program planning,
creating health education materials, and teaching health education classes.
Experience with college health and social issues a plus. Experience with
peer education a plus.

JOB DUTIES:
Manage health education efforts for the Student Health Center. Create and
promote the health education calendar of events each semester. Create,
coordinate and manage outreach and educational programs. Create health
education materials, such as brochures, flyers, and posters. Write monthly
health education articles for campus and local papers. Advise and refer
students regarding health and social issues. Coordinate and train peer
educators. Maintain relationships and collaborate with faculty, staff, and
student groups on campus.
