PLEASE CIRCULATE WIDELY - APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTINGS

Food for Talk Presents.

Fred Kirschenmann

Friday, November 11th for two talks at the Royal Winter Fair, Exhibition
Place, Toronto (free day passes available - see below)

TALK #1: 5:30 - 6:00 pm "What is Happening to the Food System" at the "For
your Good Health" Presentation area

TALK #2: 7:30 - 9:00 pm "Challenges and Opportunities to Going Local", Salon
103

Fred Kirschenmann is the former director of the Leopold Center, and a former
university philosophy professor - he also runs the biggest organic and
bio-dynamic farm in the world. Please join us to hear him speak about
sustainable farming, organic agriculture (and 'beyond organic'), food
certification methods and strategies, and other topics. He's hot on what he
calls "agriculture of the middle" which he thinks holds out hope for good
farm lives as well as sustainable farming and food. In addition, he will
comment on how we can bring together the various communities that need to
come together to make sustainable farming and agriculture happen in
Ontario's brand-new greenbelt.

See you on Friday, at the 5:30 - 6:00 pm event ("What is Happening to the
Food System" including why you should eat local food at the "For your Good
Health" Presentation area) or at the 7:30 - 9:00 pm event ("Challenges and
Opportunities to Going Local" with Fred Kirschenmann and friends in Salon
103).

For free tickets (all day passes to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair) to
