? The School of Health Policy and Management equips students with an
in-depth understanding of the health sector by combining insights from
such fields as management, information technology, politics, history and
medicine, making it a leader in the way health is thought about.

Policy while gaining an integrated understanding of all three areas.

Health Informatics:Information technology informs decisions concerning the
management and delivery of health care. You?ll acquire skills in system
design, system integration, electronic patient records, data quality
analysis, and tele-health: the integration of computer, phone, Internet
and information technologies for patient counselling, treatment, education
and research. Our graduates are prepared for a career as a health
information specialist or systems designer.
A certificate in Health Informatics is also available.
Health Management: addresses leadership of the health system from an
organizational perspective. Courses in health management, leadership and
decision-making, measuring health system performance, health finance and
integrated health systems equip you for diverse careers in health care
organizations involving administration, planning and quality assurance.
Health Policy: The Politics of Health addresses current issues from the
perspectives of political science, law, economics, sociology and ethics.
You?ll gain an understanding of health care decision-making, including how
timing and political factors must align for innovative reform. Careers
include health policy analyst, health planner, health program or research
coordinator in government and non-governmental health organizations.
