*Project Description:*



The Health Systems and Health Equity Research group at the Centre for
Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking one (1) Postdoctoral Fellow.
The successful candidate will be part of an established research team
exploring pathways to care for first episode psychosis in people of
African, Caribbean and European descent. You will work closely with the
Principal Investigator, Research Analyst and other members of the study
team.



Your primary responsibilities will include the analysis of quantitative
pathways data, design and preparation of focus group themes and questions,
conducting focus groups, analyzing transcription data and report writing.
You will be required to contribute to other grant applications and
manuscripts. The position is located at 455 Spadina Avenue, Suite 300,
Toronto, Ontario.



*Qualifications:*



The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in a relevant health sciences
or social sciences field with a minimum of 3 years experience. You are
familiar with mental health and addictions services research and have
experience working with diverse populations. The successful candidate will
have previous experience with data collection techniques and management of
information – both qualitative and quantitative is required. Experience
conducting focus groups, developing thematic coding manuals and analyzing
qualitative data thematically is required.



The successful candidate should have the ability to explain complex issues
in plain language both verbally and in writing. They will possess strong PC
software skills including experience with Microsoft Office, statistical
packages (SPSS, SAS), qualitative thematic coding programs (NVivo) and the
ability to learn new programs quickly.  The position requires strong
interpersonal and communicative (oral/written) skills combined with
creative problem-solving skills, flexibility, and self-direction with
minimal supervision.  Familiarity with SCID an asset.



This 12-month post-doctoral fellowship appointment is 4 days/week (0.8FTE)
and not part of any bargaining unit.  Competitive compensation level.  The
