*Position Description:*

The Underserved Populations Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental
Health is seeking a full time, contract Research Analyst 2 to assist the
operations of the Health Care Access Research and Developmental
Disabilities (HCARDD) program.  This research program consists of six (6)
inter-related projects with an inter-professional team from several
institutions across Ontario.  In addition, the program has formal and
informal partnerships with a number of community agencies.  In this
position, you will assist the HCARDD team in health administrative and
social services data-based research as well as the implementation and
evaluation of several knowledge transfer and exchange projects.  Reporting
to the HCARDD Manager, the major duties of this position will include:
planning, organization, documentation of team meetings; writing literature
reviews; preparing findings for presentations, reports and peer reviewed
research papers. You will support knowledge translation activities and
prepare findings for various knowledge users, including policy makers. You
will also be part of a research team evaluating 5 implementation projects
across the province.  In addition, as the project analyst you will be a key
contact and support for program evaluation activities. You will support a
healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies
with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position
is located at 1001 Queen Street West.



*Qualifications:*

The successful candidate will have an Honours Baccalaureate degree in a
relevant field (e.g., Health Sciences) and a minimum of one (1) year of
relevant experience. A Master’s degree would be considered an
asset.  Previous research experience in the field of developmental
disabilities is essential.  The following skills are required:

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office

·         Skills in statistical analyses and statistical software (e.g.,
SPSS)

·         Ability to work closely with policy makers and clinicians who
focus on this population

·         Demonstrated experience and competence with confidential data
collection, data base management, data interpretation and analysis
(qualitative and quantitative)

·         The ability to critically review and synthesize literature

·         Creative with superior interpersonal, organizational, written and
verbal communication skills

·         Experience with knowledge transfer activities

·         Presentation and academic writing skills for different audiences

·         The ability to work cross culturally



Additional assets include: Prior research or service experience with
individuals and/or families with complex needs; experience with program
evaluation.  Bilingualism (English/French) and/or proficiency in a second
language would also be considered an asset.



*Please Note:* This full-time, contract lasting twelve (12) months contract
is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.



*Salary Range:  *$26.51 to $35.77 per hour
