This may be slightly off topic, but with nowhere else to turn:

Can anyone tell me why car rentals are so unbelievably expensive in Elmira
NY??  All the rental sites will say like $36-38/ day, but then for 3 days
the total is like $300!  It's more outrageous than Vegas, which I know has
massive local entertainment taxes to hammer the tourists.

Alternatively:  does anyone know a more moderate rental place for like 3-4
days in August??  thanks, --hb

ps:  O yeh, looking forward to seeing everyone in Elmira in August!!!
