Healthy Weights: Halton Takes Action is a Halton Region initiative
designed to address the issue of healthy weights in Halton. The Halton
Region Health Department began work on this community planning process
in 2006. The process is guided by the recommendations made in Dr. Sheela
Basrur's 2004 Chief Medical Officer of Health Report, Healthy Weights,
Healthy Lives

Two community consultation sessions were held to help identify priority
areas.
