Call for Abstracts from Mental Health Researchers

Research is a major strategy that will be featured at the conference:

 * Researchers will present effective strategies to promote, prevent and treat mental health.
 * Leading international researchers will share research on the social and economic determinants that affect mental health globally.
 * Researchers who played important roles in creating the recent Institute of Medicine Report, Preventing Mental, Emotional, and Behavioral Disorders Among Young People: Progress and Possibilities, will share the overarching framework and recommendations. A panel will provide more detail on the agenda for the future outlined in this important report.
 * Researchers who are studying mental health issues for indigenous peoples will give major keynote talks.

We call on researchers worldwide to submit abstracts on their work, especially those that address imbalances and promote equity in mental health.

Abstract Submissions Extended to May 31, 2010

Abstracts should be submitted online<http://wmhconf2010.hhd.org/abstracts> for review by the Scientific Committee. The conference strategies and themes<http://wmhconf2010.hhd.org/abstracts/matrix-strategies-and-themes> should guide submissions-abstracts must align with one of the five themes as well as one of the specific strategies. A series of guidance questions<http://wmhconf2010.hhd.org/abstracts/abstract-guidance-questions> are available to help potential contributors determine how and where their abstract(s) might best fit into the program. Abstracts should be no more than 400 words and submitted online only.
