Upcoming Workshop - June 16, 2011:
 
Become a Knowledge Translator - Putting Evidence
Into Action for Prevention and Early Detection
 
This pre-conference workshop provides an excellent opportunity for
attendees from a wide range of backgrounds to participate in
professional programming devoted to knowledge translation in the area of
prevention and early detection of cancer. The program will include
presentations and discussion with provincial and national experts in
knowledge translation, and aims to showcase knowledge translation in
research, practice, prevention, screening and policy areas. 
We are very pleased to welcome:

*      Dr Stuart Edmonds, Program Director, Canadian Partnership Against

This event will provide a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse
group of experts. The workshop will be of interest to investigators and
clinicians new to cancer prevention and screening as well as those
familiar with the specialty. The objectives for the workshop are:
 
1.    To expand research, practice, policy partnerships within Alberta
Health Services
2.    To explore best and promising knowledge transfer & exchange
practices at the provincial and national levels
3.    To enhance awareness of, and interest in, existing resources to
help facilitate knowledge exchange
