Monetary policy refers to the policies used by the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) to influence the money supply of the economy. The main objectives of monetary policy are:
To achieve and maintain price stability (low inflation)
To maintain adequate levels of foreign exchange reserves
Over the period 1995-2000, there have been significant changes made to the approach used by RBF on the implementation of monetary policy.
