This is a little technical message from the quiet 1/3rd of listmanagement.
Lots of the recent postings are suffering from 'word wrap' - which is when
the words wrap onto a short
second line like that. It makes the posting twice as long, hard to read,
and a mess to print,
as this paragraph demonstrates.
You can prevent 'word wrap'by simply re-formatting your intended posting
in non-proportional type (eg. don't use Times Roman but used fixed font
Courier), ->OR<- by setting your right margin back an inch (2.5cm) or so.
Each of these is a trivial task and the masses will thank you. You can
test this out by trying it in mail sent to yourself. Do it your regular
way - if you seem to be getting word wrap in YOUR postings. Then do it
with one of these corrections. Also, if you are posting using PINE or
another on-line UNIX application, you can use ^J to 'Justify' your
paragraphs and get rid of word wrap.
The thousands will thank you for your nice netizenship.
Sam Lanfranco, CLICK4HP ListManagement (male 1/3rd)
