The Ontario Medical Association is asking the "public" for
its views on the changing health care system. (see ad in
Wed. Globe and Mail, Nov. 26, page A20).
What a great opportunity to urge it to take a proactive
stand on healthy policy issues such as promoting healthy
communities, cuts to welfare benefits, hunger,
poverty, reduction of services, and mean-spirited government
policies that widen economic inequality.
