McLean is from London, Ontario, Canada,  Founder, Publisher and Executive Editor of The International Journal of The Creative Arts in Interdisciplinary Practice IJCAIP and has also edited the books Creative Arts in Interdisciplinary Practice, Inquiries for Hope and Change and Creative Arts in Research for Community and Cultural Change, (Detselig Temeron Press/Brush Education). She is an educator and leading contributor to the field of the creative arts in interdisciplinary practice, a keynote speaker, performer, lecturer and workshop facilitator who has special interests in the arts in health and across disciplines for personal and  community change.
