Learning from International Experience: The Circle of Health in education,
policy and research
A workshop in advance of the 6th Global Forum on Health Promotion
October 15, 1-4 pm; Charlottetown, PEI
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Circle of Health - join us to
celebrate this PEI contribution to health promotion that is used in
communities around the world! To celebrate, a workshop on the Circle of
Health will be held in advance of the 6th Global Forum on Health Promotion,
an international event coming to Charlottetown, PEI on October 16-17, 2016.
Join us at the Rodd Charlottetown, the ‘birthplace’ of the Circle of Health,
to reflect on its development 20 years ago and to learn how it has
contributed to the practice of health promotion nationally and
internationally. This pre-Forum workshop is hosted by The Quaich Inc.
WORKSHOP DESIGN:
Learn about the Circle of Health from a panel of international and Canadian
speakers sharing their experience with the Circle in education, research,
policy and practice. Gain hands-on experience with the Circle of Health in
small groups led by the panelists. Develop an understanding of how to use
the Circle of Health to work across sectors and silos – one of the greatest
challenges facing communities and governments today!
REGISTRATION:
This half-day workshop is available at a special rate of $50 per person, $20
for students.
For those who are unable to attend the 6th Global Forum on Health Promotion,
but would still like to connect with delegates and health leaders from the
event, this Pre-Forum workshop is an excellent opportunity for learning and
networking at an affordable rate and manageable time commitment.
